In 2016 senior representatives of the publishing industry, booksellers, authors and the library sector gathered at ALIA House in Canberra. The purpose was to look for ways to champion Australian writing, and to identify areas for potential collaboration.
Since then, the joint industry round table has met to advance the industry, working together on key promotional strategies and sector-wide agreements.
